AMEX Export Functions, Cababilities and Services Are All Inclusive

The Amex Export Advantage:  Service

Service is an important component of the Amex Export Advantage.

Amex's four stand-alone product groups share common resources - marketing, credit and collections, information technology - while maintaining a sharp industry focus.

Amex developed over the past twenty years a unique system and strong know-how to select, appoint, and manage international distributors to market these products overseas.    Amex works with its Partners to design a comprehensive world wide distribution program, specific to each product line. The key components are:

Sales Presentations. Amex produces electronic and hardcopy product presentations designed for use by Amex sales executives and their Channel partners for staff training and customer presentations.

Trade Shows and Travel. Amex professionals are experienced in getting real sales results from international trade and professional shows. We travel, meet face-to-face with our customers and see first-hand their needs and marketing efforts.

Export Product Pricing. Product pricing designed for world wide exporting offers distributors, integrators and resellers preferred pricing based either on their distribution function, annual volume commitment or both. We also organize all price protection and return programs for technology products to match the product's life cycles.

Co-op Promotional Programs. Amex manages many easy-to-budget co-op promotional programs. Amex requires proof of expense for any co-op credit, whether it be for foreign-language literature, local media advertising, a trade show or sales conferences.

Promotional and Merchandising Materials. Any sales, marketing, advertising aids are listed and presented in a "Fax Ready " or internet order form.

Warranty Service. In export marketing, confusion surrounding warranty coverage often is a source of customer discontent. As part of its services Amex clarifies the manufacturer's export warranty policy and explains to distributors, where applicable, a simple, concise method for presenting a claim.

Forecasting and Inventory Management. Amex employs inventory control spreadsheets to monitor distributor stock levels and help distributors forecast future requirements.

Distributor and Reseller Sales Agreements. Amex secures a distributor's/reseller's annual forecast and volume commitment and spells out its corresponding commitments to the distributor/reseller in an annual sales agreement. The document serves as a valuable tool for forecasting, budgeting and performance management.
